In Blue Nil State, Sudan People’s Liberation Movement/North (SPLM-N) factions loyal to Abdel Aziz al-Hilu and Malik Agar fought each other in a series of skirmishes, which each side blamed on the other. SPLM-N (Agar) forces reportedly attacked SPLM-N (al-Hilu). The al-Hilu faction claimed to have killed 50 Agar soldiers and seized 90 Kalashnikov-type rifles, 9 RPG-7s and 9 unspecified machine guns.
