The Chief of Army Staff Lt.-General Kenneth Minimah, announced special promotions for all soldiers involved in liberating Baga city, in Borno State, from Boko Haram insurgents while addressing soldiers during an official visit to Kukawa Local Government Area. It is unclear how these promotions will be implemented without completely wrecking the unit composition and organisation hierarchy of the Nigerian military forces operating in the north-east.
