In Pagak, South Sudan, three South Sudanese workers for Montrose, an NGO subcontracted to UNICEF, were reportedly detained by SPLA-IO forces from an unspecified faction, after fleeing from Mathiang. Rival SPLAI-IO factions and government SPLA forces have been increasingly skirmishing in Pagak area, which is a stronghold for Riek Machar’s SPLA-IO faction, leading to thousands of civilians fleeing into neighboring Ethiopia.
