A freshly-painted white Rooivalk, believed to be the third and final example to receive a white paint scheme for UN operations in the DRC, was spotted leaving Denel’s grounds earlier today. Deployment of the Rooivalk appear to be on track for a November departure to the DRC, where they will fill a number of highly useful roles for FIB ground forces, including reconnaissance and fire support. As the FIB continue its war against M23 and the FDLR rebel groups in-country, the inclusion of these attack helicopters would be a valuable tactical aid.
