Working in a remote corner of Northern Uganda, demining teams from the Danish Demining Group worked until December 2012 to remove landmines left on the Uganda/Sudan border by both the Lord’s Resistance Army and the Ugandan People’s Defence Force during the years-long insurgency that wrecked the north of the country. Photojournalist Thomas Holder spent time with the demining teams to find out more about their painstakingly slow, but important work.
